Parking at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

To ensure the maximum use of limited campus parking facilities, it is necessary to regulate the parking of all faculty/staff, visitor, and student-operated motor vehicles and motorcycles.

This policy applies to all motor vehicles and motorcycles parked on or in any campus property or facility by faculty/staff, visitors, and students.

By action of the Board of Trustees pursuant to the authority vested in them by Article V, Section 1c of the General Rules of the University Concerning University Organization and Procedures, the Chancellor has authorized the following regulations concerning the parking of motor vehicles and motorcycles on University property.

Parking on University property is permitted only in areas designated as specific parking areas. Motor vehicles and motorcycles may not be parked on University pedestrian walks, bicycle lanes, or other grounds areas.

The Facilities & Services Parking Department posts its Parking Rules & Regulations on its website. Printed versions are available through the Parking Department office. However, as these rules and regulations are subject to change from time to time, the online published document will be considered to be the document of record for which all persons who operate or park a motor vehicle on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus must comply.

These regulations are administered by the Facilities & Services Parking Department, 1110 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana, IL 61801, (217) 333-3530.
